City of Stella

The panorama of the city that comes from my childhood dreams. It is named Stella in the name of the morning star and it is situated on the very end of the world on the Dividiometrian Island. The city is famous for its Imperial Library that dominates over the city. Its collection of books is considered to be the finest in the world.
The governor's palace is on the left and the Tower of Illusions in on the right. Wide main street goes down to the city walls and the port.
On the middle level there are some taverns, the marketplace and the noble district with gardens and temples.
The lower level just behind the city walls is a place where craftsmen do their work - potters, glass-bowlers, blacksmiths, watchmakers and shoemakers. The traders' guild near the ancient city gates is the largest building of the artisan district.
Unfortunately the years of the city's glory have already passed and after the collapse of the Great empire the part of which Stella once was it had to compete with other port cities situated on the near islands. But the remnants of its great past have survived all wars and misfortunes and can tell a lot to the feeling and sincere listener.

Originally designed on the basis of my dreams about this city for a D&D-like module Stella then began to live its own life and I decided to make a description for all famous buildings and their interiors as well as a book of 30 outstanding inhabitants of the city (some kind of an NPC-list), so that the city is more alive to me now
